Claude Monet 2011 Wall Calendar Details
French Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926) strove to capture the shifting effects of light on his subjects. He eventually worked on several canvases in the field simultaneously, moving his attention from one to another as the angle of illumination changed throughout the day. His painstaking efforts produced works of utter calm. The twelve images in this calendar hail from the superb collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and include such icons as Rouen Cathedral, Façade; La Japonaise (Camille Monet in Japanese Costume); Poppy Field in a Hollow near Giverny; and Grand Canal, Venice.Published with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Size: 12 x 13 in.; opens to 12 x 26 in. Printed on FSC certified paper with soy-based ink.
